NORD MAXXDRIVE® Industrial Gear Units provide high output torques from 15,000 Nm to 282,000 Nm and are perfect for use in heavy duty applications such as agitators, conveyor belt drives, mixers, mills, drums or crushers.
Industrial gear units are available as helical gear units or bevel gear units. They are constructed with the UNICASE housing which was developed by us and can accommodate large roller bearings, which guarantee a long service life. By the way: NORD is the industrial gear unit manufacturer with the world's largest industrial gear units in a UNICASE housing.

Functionality with tradition. NORD helical gear units have been produced according to the tried and tested UNICASE housing principle since the 1980s and are characterised by low maintenance and a long service life.

Customised drive solutions for the mixer industry
In industry, twin-shaft mixers ensure the uniform mixing of heavy materials. This requires precise synchronisation of two mixer shafts rotating parallel to each other. MAXXDRIVE® XJ industrial gear units from NORD realise exactly this. Thanks to their J-mount, they enable two gear units to be connected via additional input shafts including a flexible coupling. This drive solution allows the mixer shafts to run synchronously and compensates for misalignment. Thanks to its robust design, it ensures operation even under the changing and shock loads of the application.

90.1 Helical Bevel Gear Units
The 90.1 Helical Bevel gearboxes feature cast iron UNICASE™ housing, infinite life gearing, high axial and radial load capacity, minimum backlash, and efficient performance. Available in 11 sizes with a torque range of up to 442,5000 lb-in, these efficient, versatile units are adaptable to countless applications. Heavy duty bearing and spread bearing/flange mount designs provide increased load capacity and extended service life.

The NORD Gripmaxx™ sleeve system features a keyless design with cold-formed shafts. The Gripmaxx system is initially installed as a keyless press fit, which minimizes the risk of friction corrosion.
