In industry, twin-shaft mixers ensure the uniform mixing of heavy materials. This requires precise synchronisation of two mixer shafts rotating parallel to each other. MAXXDRIVE® XJ industrial gear units from NORD realise exactly this. Thanks to their J-mount, they enable two gear units to be connected via additional input shafts including a flexible coupling. This drive solution allows the mixer shafts to run synchronously and compensates for misalignment. Thanks to its robust design, it ensures operation even under the changing and shock loads of the application.

With the MAXXDRIVE® XT industrial gear units, NORD offers an optimum drive solution for bulk material handling systems. XT stands for eXtended Thermal capacity. The 2-stage helical bevel gear unit is available in seven sizes and realises low ratios, which are typical for belt conveyor systems. The gearboxes are characterised by a high thermal limit power. They ensure high operational reliability and reduced maintenance times. Large roller bearings and optimised centre distances increase the load capacity and service life of the gearboxes - which significantly improves system availability.
